About Us

Welcome to The Meadows School. We are a Co-Educational LEA maintained school for pupils aged 4-11 years. The School is set in the heart of Wooburn Green village. 

The area served by the school includes Wycombe Lane, beyond The Green, Boundary Road as far as the M40 viaduct, Moorside, Wooburn Moor, Holtspur Lane and connecting roads up to the M40 bridge towards Holtspur (Beaconsfield) - although children come to us from further afield.

The original school building was completed in 1913 with extensions added in the 1950s, 1970s and 1990s. We have an ongoing programme of improvement, and security and health & safety are regularly reviewed. Plans are available to see in the office. 

The present premises house thirteen classrooms. Eight are used for class teaching; we also have an ICT suite with 13 computers; a creative arts room for music and art; a rainbow room for small group work; one accommodates the staff and the other is our meeting room. Our hall is used for Assemblies, PE, Dance and Drama, the Breakfast Club and for numerous Parents Association and school functions. We also have a fully equipped kitchen. We have one large playing field, two playgrounds, and a newly redesigned environmental garden. 

At present, there are approximately 150 children on roll.

The School continues to gain awards and currently holds Investors in People, School Achievement Award, Quality Mark and Swan Award. The school is also recognised as a Buckinghamshire Professional Development School.
